This painting took a long time to find the spot. These land-like paintings continue to puzzle me. In vain I put up a resistance that appears weak against the inner force.

I focus on the quality of the material as a way to talk about it, and express what is wordless. Yes, the paint is beautiful, the way it moves, dries, and behaves, it takes away the head to alternative realities to immerse the heart in what is. And that's it. Painting breathing me.

The Task

Some works came as a surprise or as a friend and I said, as a future message to ourselves. This work from the beginning of the year is one of those. As I continue to look at it, the mind tries without luck to fit it into some kind of category/allegory.

Maybe as the title says, the task is to slow down and observe what appears as it is without anticipation or preconceived ideas.
